Natural Drinks for Weight Loss by Abdullah Salim

Want to lose weight quick and diet plans don't seem to help you? Tired of all the nutritional drink mixes that claim to help you lose weight instantly? Actually the best drinks that can help you lose weight are natural and quite inexpensive. Here are some of the healthy natural drinks that can help you achieve your weight loss goals:

Green Tea: Green tea when taken without sugar can be a good calorie free and healthy substitute for the calorie laden cappuccinos and lattes. Green tea when consumed in the morning will spike up your metabolic rate. It contains certain photo chemicals known as catechins. These catechins stimulate the body's metabolism, thus helping you burn more fat and calories and lose weight.

Fruit Juice: Drinking fruit juice can help a lot when you want to lose weight. Fruit juices contain a lot of antioxidants and vitamins that help to keep the body nourished. Lack of minerals and vitamins in the diet is what leads to hunger pangs. The body craves food when it needs certain vitamins or minerals. If you keep feeding your body food that contains just empty calories (such as cookies, crackers and other junk food) it misses out on the necessary minerals thus making you feel hungrier. Instead of having junk food or other unhealthy snacks, opt for fruit juice. However, be careful when you select your fruit juice, as sometimes certain juices will only contain only little fruit juice along with loads of unnatural and unhealthy high fructose corn syrup. The ideal choice would be freshly squeezed fruit juice.

Green Smoothies: Leafy green vegetables contain all the ingredients one needs to lose weight, such as fiber, water, minerals and vitamins. Also they are low in calories and sugar content. You can easily make a green smoothie using a combination of different vegetables, fruits and leafy greens. Green smoothies are very nutritious as leafy greens are rich in Vitamin A, C and K and iron. Opt for romaine, Swiss chard, kale and spinach. If you are getting yourself store bought vegetable juices, then opt for the reduced sodium varieties. The best option though would be if you could juice the vegetables at home. You can even use these green smoothies as a meal replacement. As they have all the necessary nutrients, they will leave you feeling fuller.
